The {ahem} "Ketchup" Post

It's not that I've given up blogging, or lost interest really....although my Google Reader says that I have 1000+ posts to catch up on.....

....fanTAStic. If only I could just press pause for 72 straight hours so that I could catch up on all of these posts that I have yet to read.

Its really that I just have soo much to update you all on and soooo much about you all to catch myself up on, that it quite frankly, is overwhelming. But after a friendly "You've Been Inactive for 1 month, we're freezing your Ads" message from Blogher, I could no longer avoid the inevitable.

The "ketchup" post.

Since I've talked with you all last.....

  • Jesse and I went to Mexico  for a whole week.....and minus the 3rd degree {I wish I was exaggerating} sunburns, it was a fabulous week. I may elaborate more on that one later, but lets just say, no matter how 'not hot' it may seem to you when you're visiting Mexico....bring sunscreen and wear sunscreen. They will rob you BLIND for sunscreen in Mexico...{its not like the locals need it, and by "rob" I mean $22 for a small bottle}

  • Jesse and I celebrated our 5th anniversary. Hence the trip to Mexico.
  • Silas has taken off walking.......everywhere. Owen....not quite. He takes steps, however never when he's prompted. He does, however, walk on his knees. Go figure. .....and I thought two infants and a toddler was busy, give 3 toddlers a try.
  • We had our 2nd RV/TV fun when the Sports team from Channel 13 news {the best sports team in Iowa} came to town. A couple of years ago, they stopped through, and Jesse & Hayden had their pics taken with Keith & Andy.

And then THIS year, we got the whole brood in with Keith....slight expansion in 2 years, no? Kind of looks Christmas card-esque, doesn't it?!

  • We window shopped for a new house. {okay, we actually did look at it, not just look through the windows} We thought we'd make an offer on said new house. Said House......sold :( ....BUT just for fun, we have one of these signs in our front yard:
  •
  • (It's rainy today, sorry for the dark pic)
  •  Okay not just "for fun", we really are praying and would love you to join us in praying that our house would sell. For multiple reasons, we feel like this is a great time for us to make a change in our housing situation.
  • AND in our most fun news, we started a fun process with Hayden just the other day. You'll never guess.....it rhymes with "knotty braining".  Good, good times. As I type this, he is sitting on his new special chair in front of the TV watching Sesame Street and The Price is Right....its unlikely due to his lack of activity today that he will be tired for his nap this afternoon, but I think just maybe we're over the "terrified of the potty chair" stage.
You see, we have been busy. And while I could devote an entire or in some cases, multiple posts to each of these events, as I mentioned, I have 3 toddlers now that for whatever reason don't sit in bouncy seats and giggle, but rather dig through cupboards, drawers, and play in the toilet....just for "fun".
