Dear Hayden....Today we are celebrating the 2nd anniversary of your birth.
I don't think your Daddy or I ever anticipated what you would add to our family. You have not only completely changed our lives, but even since you came .....our lives have completely changed all over again.
You are the best big brother, although at times you don't appreciate them in all of their little brother glory.
You are timid and curious.
Strong-willed, but teachable.
Sweet and silly.
Chatty. You are quite the entertainer.
It is so much fun watching you become a little boy....oh the things you are learning....
...the importance and affects of gravity.
...how to take your brothers' temperature.
...what it feels like to be cold and want to cover up with a blanket.
...when is an appropriate time to say "A-MEN!" in church.
You are sweet and naive with a child-like trust. Hang on to that as long as you possibly can.
Watch your daddy. Learn from him what it means to be a godly man. He's not perfect, and he will be the first one to admit that, but he is excited to help guide you.
We pray that you will know at a young age the grace of God that is available to you to free you from the trap of your sin. We love you, but you are a little sinner :)
We attempt to cherish each day that we have with you, praying that there will not be a shortage of them, but knowing even the years will go so quickly.
We are thankful for your health, we are thankful for your sweet spirit, we are thankful for your zest for life, we are thankful for YOU.
We can't wait to see what God has in store for your life.'
